Description
Part of a marble slab of the Amazon frieze of the Mausoleum of Halikarnassos. It represents combats between Greeks and Amazons. This slab fragment shows the part of the right forearm of an Amazon. It joins the right end of slab 1015. The rest of the figure survives on a slab, found in the walls of castle St. Peter at Bodrum, now in the museum at the site of the Mausoleum.
