- Curator's comments
- CVA:
This shape, straight-sided with vertical handles, is a less common alternative to the lipless hemispherical kotyle, first evolved in Corinth at the outset of LG; the chevron panel recalls the decoration of the earliest kotylai (GGP 102, cf. pl. 19j). Similar kyathoi occur in the Lower Deposit (LG) at the Aëtos sanctuary in Ithaca: C.M. Robertson, BSA 43 (1948), pl. 4, nos. 48, 49.
