Stone sarcophagus, once covered with white plaster and colourfully painted. The lid is carved as the roof of a temple or house, and decorated with scroll ornament, sphinxes, snakes, female heads and rows of cover-tiles with antefixes.
All sides of the chest are decorated in low relief with floral and animal designs, two winged female figures (perhaps Lasas), a winged male figure holding a mallet and snake (representing Charon) and a warrior with shield and sword. There is an inscription in the centre which reads "Vel Urinates",the dead man's name.
