Pottery: red-figured bell-krater (wine-bowl).
Designs red on black ground; above, laurel-wreath; below each, a band of maeander and crosses.
(a) A young man, probably an actor, looks down to right at a tragic female mask with long dishevelled hair in his left hand; he is beardless, and carries a bordered chlamys over left arm, held up in right hand. Facing him is Nike, with hair gathered in a knot, embroidered double sphendone, earrings, necklace, bracelets, and long embroidered chiton; in left hand she holds a phiale with fruit, and in right a wreath with which to crown him. In front of her is a tendril; behind her is Pan to left, beardless, with short horns and chlamys over left arm, looking down at an iynx which he holds on his right forefinger.
(b) Two ephebi confronted, in bordered himatia; the one on the right has a staff, and behind him is a female figure to left, with hair in a knot, earrings, long chiton and bordered himation; in front of her hangs a haunch of venison (?).
