- Description
-
Bronze statuette of Venus (or perhaps her mother Dione), with a dove perched on her head. She originally had an attachment of some kind across her hips, perhaps additonal drapery, for which the holes remain. This figure is a miniature version of a lost Greek original dated to the first century BC.
