Translation
The head of the god Lunus, turbaned, and crowned with a diadem shining with rays turned down over her forehead, with her face looking to the left, with the horns of a little moon standing out in different directions behind her neck, carved out softly and delicately from a whitening, semi-translucent layer of Indian onyx between two translucent ones, the upper one, the level from which the hair has been made, dark, the lower one a gleaming white. It once belonged to the Museo Borghese in Rome.
