Mould-made pottery lamp with a circular body, a wide rounded shoulder, a wide flat rim with internal mouldings, and a short rounded nozzle decorated with a small raised crescent enclosing an impressed circle. At the rear is ring-handle with a crescent-shaped ornament; this has a sunken panel decorated with a rosette of impressed circles. The discus has an air-slit near the edge, and is decorated with a seated draped Cybele wearing a mural crown and holding a patera. She is flanked by two lions, behind one of which stands Attis, wearing a Phrygian cap and holding pan-pipes. Across the centre of the slightly raised base is the impressed name C.OPPI.RES (Caius Oppius Restitutus, presumably the maker).
