Mould-made pottery lamp with a voluted nozzle, angular and slightly broken at the end, lug handles at the sides, and a base-ring. The deep-sunk discus has a flat moulded rim, and a channel from the discus to the wick-hole; at the bottom of the channel is a floral club in relief, with an air-hole pierced in one side. The central filling-hole is surrounded by concentric mouldings. The steep sides of the discus are decorated by two dolphins, two griffins, acanthus leaves and a small rosette. Covered with an orange to brown slip.
