- Folio Collection: This drawing is bound in a folio consisting of a collection of drawings by Ellis Silas. The folio which consists of drawings catalogued as Oc2006,Drg.506 through to Oc2006,Drg.678, were bound by the British Museum in January 1967. In addition, two drawings which were originally bound in the folio were later removed, framed, and have been catalogued as Oc2006,Drg.679 and Oc2006,Drg.680.
Context: The sketch of the man in a dance costume, is inscribed as being the costume for the Kasawaga dance. See Young, M (1998) Malinowski's Kiriwina: Fieldwork Photography 1915-1918, p.94.
