Painting on bark. Red-brown, yellow-brown, black and white earth pigments on a roughly rectangular piece of bark. Depicts Gangan, the point of origin of the Yirritja moiety, where Barama emerged. The diamond design represents the muddy freshwater of Gangan streaming down Barama's chest. The crayfish and pairs of other totemic animals are depicted: the long-necked tortoise, Saratoga, cormorants, reef heron and frogs.
