- From a series of 284 photos made by an un-named photographer on a tour of the Melanesian Mission ship Southern Cross in 1947. Described in the original catalogue as: 252. The correct method of the new Church at Sere village, Mere Lava Is., have been deeply excavated as a further protection from the devastating hurricanes that sweep the Is.

- Printed in 1992 by the British Museum from a series of negatives belonging to the Melanesian Mission, in the course of the donation of collection Oc1991,08. The Mission then donated the negatives to the Melanesian Mission archive at SOAS.
