A type of openwork image normally attributed to Mitiaro on the basis of old LMS labels (Buck, P H 'Arts and Crafts of the Cook Islands' 1944, Honolulu, Hawaii, Bernice P. Bishop Museum Bulletin 179: 351). However, it has zigzag elements and stylized feature cleats which resemble those on Aitutaki carvings. The central Cook Islands were in regular and close contact, and the present state of knowledge does not permit firm island attributions.
