Found un-numbered in the Ethnographic Department's collections in 1981. It was identified as being from the J.Barnard Davis collection, and earlier from G.A.Robinson's collection. AW Franks presented material from Davis' collection to the British Museum at various times during the 1880s and 1890s. He had acquired it from the sale of Davis' estate in January 1883.
