Armour for the body (te otana) made of coconut fibre cord (coir) and human hair. Knotted coir is made into a pair of trousers with two panels on the front and reverse of the midsection for protection. Human hair cord edges the panels. Two shoulder straps attached to the front for fastening and straight ends at the ankles.
