Obtained from the ATBALMIN. Charm for protection from arrows in fighting and success and safety in pig hunting.
TIFALMIN.
[Oc1964.03 series]: An ethnographical collection formed between December 1963 and May 1964 in the Telefomin sub-district of the Sepik District Territory of New Guinea, by the British Museum Expedition (B.A.L. Cranstone, Assistant Keeper, and D.J. Lee, Museum Assistant); with a few pieces collected in and near Wewak headquarters of the Sepik District. (See also 1964 AS.4).

Notes on purchase of specimens:
1. In 1963-64 the £Australian was worth 16/- stirling.
2. The approximate values, in Australian currency, of trade goods used for purchases in the Tifalmin Valley, after allowing for air freight charges from Wewak to Telefomin and air freight or carriers to Tifalmin, were as follows:-
