- Beasley catalogue lists this comb as one of four apparently purchased together (404 to 407), the other three from Ulawa, this one as ditto the description of 404 but not actually ditto Ulawa. No previous owner is mentioned.
Combs of this type are characteristic of southeast Solomon Islands, particularly Makira and Ulawa but also south Malaita.
