- The collection which Mary Edge-Partington donated to the British Museum was made by her husband Thomas Edge-Partington and herself during his colonial service in the British Solomon Islands Protectorate between 1905 and 1915. Thomas presumably acquired this club while stationed in western Solomons between 1905 and 1909.
