- Curator's comments
- Margery Blackman, scholar of weaving from Dunedin, says this loin-cloth is unusual. The label says it is from Kosrae, rather than Ponape. It could have been a trade textile or one influenced by European printed missionary cloth. M. Blackman visited the Textile Centre on 7/9/04.
