Micronesia.
Necklace of almond-shaped pieces of shell, convex and of a reddish brown colour on one side, slightly concave and of a greyish tint on the other. The shells are all similarly perforated near one end and closely strung on a twisted cord of buff coloured fibre and black human hair. The ends by which the necklace is tied, are of similar cord, but plaited.
