Davis published a sales catalogue "LIST OF ETHNOGRAPHICAL OBJECTS Collected during the Cruises of H.M.S ROYALIST amongst the Islands of the WESTERN PACIFIC in 1890-91-92 Obtained by Admiral (then Captain Davis) in the Pacific 93". The British Museum copy (MUS/26b-9-6) is annotated: The Collection of Admiral Davis / Bt. by Edward Gerrard / 61 College House / Camden Town / N. W. / BM had first pick / part purchased by Urnlauff. Hamburg.
Collected on Admiral Davis' second voyage on the HMS Royalist to Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands, specifically between 3rd June 1891 and 25th August 1891.
