Similar to painted ceremonial clubs from Arnhem Land, Northern Territory. Being from Haslar Hospital, possible association with Port Essington region. Objects from Port Essington were collected by Richard Tilston and bequeathed to Haslar Hospital Museum on his death in 1849. See D. Simpson 2020, The Royal Navy in Indigenous Australia, 1795-1855.
