- Description from Extracts from the British and Medieval Register 1757-1878, p.184:
174. Long stiff bag with rounded end, made of matting and painted red and yellow. It is said to be used by the women of Port Essington to keep the skeleton of a deceased infant, which they always carry about with them. L. 14 inches.
