- Description

Comb made of a number of flat thin sticks (bamboo according to the original registration). The top of the handle is rounded, below which is a deep and expanding binding of patterned vegetable fibre binding in different shades of brown. Below this the teeth of varying lengths splay out. A tassel of cockatoo (?) feathers is attached to the handle.

'101. Do. [Comb of split bamboo], 20 teeth, plaited handle, and bunch of feathers. Length 14 ½ inches. From Brumer Islands.'
