This object is similar to 1954.06.25. The string is Yaaki (see below). A dog's teeth necklace with broken cowries. Some of the teeth are removed from both ends. This happens all the time. Dog's teeth are valuable so people take them and put them somewhere else.
Yaaki - this is made from Pueraria pulcherrima (Koord) Koord.- Schumacher (Fabaceae) [Alternative identification Canaralia cathartica/ papuana (Fabaceae/Leguminosae)], known as yaaki in Nekgini language.
