Adze with T-shaped handle of pale wood, polished by use, & with a conoidal butt. Near the head it changes from round to semi-circular section. The blade is of shell inserted in cleft of the wood & lashed with a binding of plaited sinnet cord which is extended to the extremity of the other limb of the "T". Over the sinnet binding just above the blade is a composite covering of interwoven sinnet & rattan.
