Square of matting, neatly plaited from strips of palm leaf; border of key pattern in black, with a line of brown fibre plaited in at either side of the border.
No history - but it seems to be of the same make as Fisherman's basket from Mille (C.C. 9171) and differs a good deal from the "Manihiki Fine mat" (W.W. Gill)
