Ceremonial adze, toki poutangata. Haft only: brown wood of circular cross section, heel carved as openwork wheku faced figure, manaia head below reaching to and connected with figure’s tongue, toe of shaft with wheku face; all faces with haliotis-shell eyes and surface decoration of rauponga. Proximal end of shaft with simple wheku face with some worn rauponga around mouth.
