From Tanna, New Hebrides.
3 slender arrows. Knotted reed shafts, the joints serrated & coloured dark. Two are scored with longitutdinal parallel lines and have a twist of red stained grass round each end, the third has the upper end scored with [illus] & a twist of pale grass round each end. The heads of all three are alike, slender, cut out of hard black wood and barbed along the four edges. L 3ft 6" to 3ft 7"
