Drawing; mounted Native North American warrior on yellow colour horse with black bridle, rein, mane and bushy tail, fighting with another warrior who has fallen on the ground. The mounted warrior has red painted face, braids wrapped in red cloth; wearing a black shirt (military jacket?) with flap and white pattern (epaulettes?), red leggins with red loin-cloth hanging from his waist. He is holding the end of a rifle barrel and a bow with his right hand.
The warrior on the ground has long hair and is wearing a loin-cloth; he has a quiver on his shoulder and is holding a bow with his left hand, another bow is above him, there are a number of short lines around the fallen warrior.

- There are forty-two Ledger Drawings in the Tall Bear series; drawings 1-16 were drawn by Tall Bear; drawings 17-42 were probably drawn by a Lakota artist, Pretty or Good Bear (Mah-tow-wash-ta); transferred to the British Museum by the William Blackmore Museum, Salisbury, Wiltshire, UK. 1931.
