Drawing; pl.4, Bel-lohk Na-pic (the Buffalo Dance); represents two of the eight Buffalos performing the Buffalo dance, to which the Mandans attribute the creation of the Buffalos to supply them with food during the coming year. The Buffalos are elaborately painted and wearing buffalo robes with a wheat (?) bundle, they are each holding a rattle and long stick.
