Drawing; pl.45; a painted warrior's shield, sixty centmetres long and forty-five centimetres wide, composed of ten pieces of wood. The whole shield is painted blue, red and white, the middle represents a grotesque head with a large mouthfull of teeth and four elephant-like tusks. Borneo.
