- Curator's comments
- Eth.Doc.1574. Purchased May 9 1994, part of field collection made by J.C.King. This parka was probably purchased by Aaju Peter's mother-in-law, Mary Peter, in the late 1980s or early 1990s, in southern Baffin Island, perhaps Broughton Island, and used by Aaju Peter for carrying and nursing 3-5 babies. It was
Mary Peter, not Aaju, who decided that it was time to sell it, since she had bought it.
