- Curator's comments
- Eth.Doc.1574. This set of clothing was made by Damarris Ulayok for her granddaughter Theresa Kipsigaq Ulayok, now 5 years old, in 1993. The girl was given a man's name, here Kipsigaq, in commemoration of a dead relation. Therefore as a child she wears boy's clothes; this set of clothes is therefore of the type worn by boys, not girls. Purchased by J.C.King on 28/4/1994.
