Man's hat (sombrero in Spanish); woven from palm fibre; tall pointed crown; wide brim, sharply upturned around outer edge; covered all over with green felt; crown embroidered with flower and leaf design in gold thread; hatband four rows of twisted gold cord, with bow tied at one side and two tassels; edge of brim, top and underside, decorated with embroidered flowers and leaves in gold thread accented with sequins, and two gold braided lines with wavy line between them; crown lined with red satin; leather band sewn inside crown.
