- Purchased from the Royal Institution of Cornwall in 1986 via the Truro Museum but apparently not registered at the time. Located in South American collections in February 2013 and attached to the end of the Americas Truro registration sequence.
There is an attached label written in iron-gall ink which has badly faded and is now only partly legible. The first words cannot be read, followed by "Given by Mrs. Archibald Little, The Haven, Falmouth". Mrs. Little, born Alicia Bewicke, was a novelist who spent twenty years living in China and published books on the subject. Mrs. Little probably donated the bowl in 1907-08, the only year in which she was resident at Falmouth.
