Model group, made of varnished pottery, in the form of a nativity scene (nacimiento); oval base painted purple with white borders; shed structure with black roof, brown back wall (white star on it), two front support posts painted yellow and decorated with yellow flowers, green leaves with black lines. Inside shed on left, Mary: purple hood, gold band across top; gold earrings; brown skin; black eyebrows, white eyes, holes for pupils outlined in black; open mouth; white dress; green ribbon at waist; white fingernails. Inside shed at centre, Jesus: pink skin; black eyebrows, pupil holes outlined in black; lying on pile of white circles. Inside shed on right, Joseph: grey hair and beard; brown skin; black eyebrows, white eyes, holes for pupils outlined in black; open mouth; green robe; yellow sash from left shoulder to right hip; pink staff in left hand. Front left, woman: black hair, brown skin; black eyebrows, white eyes, holes for pupils outlined in black; red lips; orange earrings; white necklace; red dress; green leaf and yellow flowers held in both hands. Front right, woman: black hair, brown skin; black eyebrows, white eyes, holes for pupils outlined in black; red lips; yellow earrings; orange dress; green leaf and pink flowers held in both hands. Centre front, orange candle in green candlestick.

- This nativity scene was entered for a concourso (contest) for Christmas 1985 organized by the Museo Nacional de Artes e Industrias Populares, so they represent a non-typical response to the brief set by the organizers. The makers have used traditional materials and techniques.
