- This nativity scene was entered for a concourso (contest) for Christmas 1985 organized by the Museo Nacional de Artes e Industrias Populares, so they represent a non-typical response to the brief set by the organizers. The makers have used traditional materials and techniques. Figures are wearing the traditional clothing from San Juan Chamula.
