Massett / Skidegate Haida delegation September 2009: Christian White noted that this object's label describing it as "Musk Ox" is incorrect. The object is in fact made from the horn of a mountain sheep. White described how these pieces would be formed by heating the horn and shaping it against a wooden mould to achieve the required formline incisions.
