Fine, tightly woven wool blanket or rug in red, blue, green, pink and cream colours. The main design is of two long panels arranged in zig-zag bands of colour, with one panel of broader bands than the other; the whole being bordered in a triangular band and solid strips of colour.

North America, South West Region, Navajo. Possibly of pre-1860 date and probably woven from Germantown (?) yarn. RUG [NOT BLANKET] [sic].
