Register 1955:
Model of a sailing Jangada, or cargo raft. The base is made of five shaped 'balsa' logs; with a triangular sail and detachable mast. The bundle of equipment in stern, consists of a large basket with two machetes stuck into it, two tin pans, a keg, a wooden pail with lid, a length of rope, a boat-hook, etc. Two wooden 'logs' represent the cargo and there are two wooden models of an oar or padle too.

Bundle of equipment in stern, consisting of: a large basket with 2 machetes stuck into it; 2 tin pans; a keg; a wooden pail with lid, a length of rope, a boat-hook, a plumb-bob? and line?, and ? [sic] a baler? (scoop-shaped).
