Ladle made of horn of the big horn mountain sheep, with a tapering curved handle, ending with a finial carved in the form of a raven's head, the eyes inlaid with haliotis shell, the back and underside engraved with formline designs perhaps representing the back of the bird. Some of the 'u' forms of the formline design are engraved with cross hatching. One of the pieces of abalone inlay is pierced, as though reutilised from a necklace or other article.
