Model coffin made of wood in the form of a cocoa pod. Decorated in acrylic paint in yellow and green.Coffin has ridged form with rectangular cavity in top covered by metal-hinged wooden lid. Vegetable fibre stalk inserted into end of coffin. Coffin supported on green painted trapezoidal form which is attached to heart-shaped black painted base. Coffin is set at angle to base.

- Curator's comments
- Model coffins are made by employees of the coffin workshops and are sold directly by them to enhance their personal earnings. Coffins in the form of cocoa pods are often made for the funerals of cocoa planters.
