Painting in water based pigment on printed Italian military paper depicting the dormation of the Virgin Mary. She is surrounded by saints and angels. To the left a priest holds an elaborate censor with bells and above King David plays a lyre (begana).
Verso; A seated figure holds in one hand a whip/flywisk and with the other indicates to a chalice held by a haloed youth [Christ?].
Framed with a paper mount.

- Previously part of a book of images used as models for mural paintings. These were made by an Ethiopian priest who was producing paintings and murals in the 1940s.
