Man's tunic (jibba) made of wool. Tunic has black-dyed wool warp and alternating black- and burgundy-dyed wool weft stripes; the cloth was woven so that the stripes ran horizontally, but the garment was cut with the stripes running vertically. Tunic is roughly rectangular with rounded neck and deep front opening, also short opening at bottom front. Shoulders are wide and angled, hem is curved. Tunic is lined along all openings with band of black synthetic cloth which is hand-sewn to the garment. Arm holes, neck, lower front openings and centre front of garment have applied black silk braid. Tassels in black silk thread at shoulders and lower front opening.

- This fieldwork collection was purchased, together with Af1998,02-03, using BP (British Petroleum) sponsorship in February-March 1998. Textiles (Af1998,01.17-54) were purchased from Ahmad Tahar Zribi, Sfax, on 25.2.1998 for 3,200 TD (Tunisian dinar).
