- Description

Woman's coat (kadrun), made of black-dyed wool. Front opening; fitted bodice, slightly gathered at waist. Round, collarlesss neck. Plastron lavishly decorated with goldwork: sequins, coiled wire, flat thread (tal), and gold-covered thread; embroidered and couched in floral and geometric patterns. Rectangular sections on either side of front opening embroidered with fish designs. Gold, blue and pink silk braid couched to inner edges of garment. Sleeves folded back once and lined with turquoise silk cloth worked in gold: sequins, flat thread (tal), coiled wire, openwork gold thread (barmaqli) in geometric and floral patterns; edged with braid as above.
