Woman's outer garment (huli) made of cotton. Double-faced, central section has elaborate weft-faced patterns in blue cotton on brown cotton warp. Wide band at one end and narrower band at other end have weft-faced stripes in red, yellow, white, blue and green cotton. Top and bottom edges have bands of patterned yellow and brown cotton flanking band of loose warp threads, terminating in loose fringe.

- Eth.Doc.362. Outer cloths of this type are worn as everyday garments, when outside the home, by married women. The cloths are wrapped around the body, over other clothes, and secured using one or two silver pins.

- This fieldwork collection was purchased, together with Af1998,02-03, using BP (British Petroleum) sponsorship in February-March 1998. Overgarment purchased in the weaving workshop owned by Dirhame Abdelaziz in the souq area of Houmt Souk, Jerba Island, on 20.2.1998 for 20 TD (Tunisian dinar). Cloth was made in 1996/7 by male weaver using a foot-operated treadle loom.
