Knee-guard (kukan) made of hide with a single strap and metal buckle fastening. The guard fits over the bent knee and is used in the manufacture of chechias during the carding process. Hole in guard is reinforced on inside by cloth-backed plastic insert.

- Fair; knee-guard has hole worn through near front, repaired locally using cloth-backed plastic attached on the inside. Surface of guard is worn throughout and stained with red dye from chechias.
