Beadwork apron; consists of long rectangular top panel of white ?glass beads in latticed pattern, bordered on top and three shorter sides by single horizontal row of beads strung vertically, with outer border of large beads. Two multi-coloured panels of diamond shapes in centre, in symmetrical design: green, black, pink, blue, green, black red (from outside to centre). Beads are sewn onto base of long black panel of wide-weave cotton, sewn and hemmed by blue cotton. Rear of beadwork is backed onto fine cotton which is stained with blocks of various colours.

- Because of duplicate photos, Jolles catalogue is out of sequence: this object corresponds with the Jolles' collection number 232. Worn by married women as front apron over isidwaba. Brought by immigrants from Msinga (see Jolles 1994, 58). Jolles notes this is a very rare and quite exceptional piece.
