Beadwork hat ornament; ?glass beads woven onto fibre. Consists of white rectangular panel; made from horizontal bands of repeated rows of beads strung vertically. Four latticed triangles on lower fringe. Central decoration of band of coloured rectangles, symmetrical from centre, in orange rectangle with yellow centre, green, blue, and black (from left to centre). From each end of metal row row hangs three strands of beads in white, blues, black, green, yellow and orange, which meet together in centre though triangular cluster of nine large white plastic beads. Metal safety pin at rear.

- Because of duplicate photos, Jolles catalogue is out of sequence: this object corresponds with the Jolles' collection number 218. Jolles notes is worn at side of head, by girls who have boyfriends, and on engagement day.
