Pair of beadwork anklets; ?glass beads woven onto fibre. Consists of two rectangular panels, with double row of beads at bottom long edge. Panels have white backgrounds, with colourful motifs made up of symmetrical interlocking triangles, diamonds and 'arrow' shapes. On anklet a), the left panel consists of pale blue outer border, with other colours in black, pale green, pink, green with a dark blue and orange centre. The right panel consists of colours of dark green, black, khaki green, white with a blue strip running through bead, and an orange and pale blue central design. On anklet b), the colours are the same but reversed on the panels. Latticed triangles at either end of anklets. Pairs of white plastic beads at ends; loop fastening.

- Because of duplicate photos, Jolles collection is out of sequence: this object corresponds with the Jolles' collection number 185. Jolles notes note motifs of crabs, with triangles called 'mampapheni' or 'feathers'. (Plural Omampapheni). Worn by married women.
